Tweak Bird, who currently live in LA but are originally from Southern Illinois, are not your average brothers. As the fourth and fifth children in a large Mormon family living in the middle of nowhere, the boys grew up inventing a magical and mystical world for themselves as soon as they could stretch beyond adult supervision. The two have been jamming since their 90’s childhood, and haven’t given a fuck what anyone else thought at any point since.
Since 2008, the Bird brothers have released three full-length studio albums and two EP’s. The band has also done some heavy touring in the last 7 years, headlining in the US and in Europe, as well as supporting tours with some acts like Tool, Melvins, Big Business, Black Mountain and Ted Leo & the Pharmacists.
In 2014 the band decided to quit dealing with record labels and released their third full-length album, Any Ol’ Way, themselves. Perhaps the album sounds more like Temple of the Dog than it does previous Tweak Bird releases; no matter. After a few listens, you’ll be hooked.
Following the album’s release, the brothers Bird took a year off to raise kids and get high. Now, with a new lease on life, Caleb and Ashton have begun playing shows again, and are bringing their magic back to Europe.
